Mike Goodwin, PetSmart

Michael began his career at Hallmark as information technology analyst in 1990 and has held positions of increasing responsibility, including Director of IT Service Delivery, IT Business Development Director of Creative Product Development and Supply Chain Operations, culminating with his promotion to SVP and CIO in 2006 responsible for global IT services. Prior to joining Hallmark Cards, he served as an officer in the United States Army. Michael is a member of the Board of Directors for Burlington Stores, Telecare Corporation, Eckerd Connects, and serves on the Strategic Council for Plexus Worldwide. Michael has received recognition as 2020 ArizonaCIO Enterprise CIO of the Year and 2022 Forbes CIO Next List Top 50 CIOs. He earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science from the U.S. Military Academy in West Point, N.Y., Master of Business Administration from the University of Kansas, and is National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) certified. Michael Goodwin retired in January 2023 after serving as PetSmart’s senior vice president and chief information officer since 2014. He has more than 30 years of information technology experience, most recently serving as senior vice president and chief information officer of Technology and Business Enablement at PetSmart.
